1. True or False? The abridged Dewey Decimal Classification was designed to keep the organizational format of the unabridged Dewey, but to go into less detail, so that the notations are shorter.
2. True or False? Table 2 is a listing of geographic names with numbers. The information from this table can only be used with the 900’s class, geography and history.
3. True or False? The hierarchical arrangement of the DDC was developed to subdivide broad categories of information into more specific sections that can then be further subdivided as needed.
4. True or False? The Index in the DDC is very detailed, and contains references to the schedules and to the various tables that can greatly help the cataloger. This should be the first place for the cataloger to look.
