Idaho Career Information System
About Idaho Career Information System
Since 1980 the Idaho Career Information System (CIS) has assisted Idahoans in making successful education and career decisions. CIS is the only comprehensive source of national information as well as specific information about training and employment options in Idaho.
About our products:
We pride ourselves on providing unbiased career information, resources, and services appropriate for students and adults.
- CIS Junior is designed for 5th – 8th Grade and helps students explore who they are, where they plan to go and how to get there through guided lessons and interactive modules.
- eCIS is designed for 7th Grade – Adult and is Idaho’s only comprehensive source of quality information about education, training and work.
Start using CIS!
I already have an eCIS or CIS Junior Portfolio Account.
The user name and password version is available to all users who are affiliated with schools, agencies and organizations subscribing to eCIS or CIS Junior.
I do not have an account and just want to browse for information.
The Public-Access version is available to all Idaho residents who are not affiliated with a subscribing school, agency or organization. This version allows you to toggle between both the eCIS and the CIS Junior Base systems (does not include all CIS modules such as portfolios and assessments).
I am a client of the Idaho Department of Labor and log in through Idaho Works.
The Idaho Works version of eCIS is available to all Idaho Department of Labor customers. This version allows you to access your current CIS Portfolio or create a new CIS Portfolio for the first time (includes modules such as portfolios and assessments). For additional help contact your local Department of Labor office.
